Grow Your Character Not Personality

Grow Your Character Not Personality

What we all want is to change so that in the future we are better than what we are today. However, if you would closely look at the techniques we use to change ourselves mostly works at the outer level to change our personalities and not the character. Most of the techniques used to bring about changes in our lives are focussed more on learning to please the people and getting the things done instead of working on our fundamental values. Leadership is an important part of life. However, leadership is not about how well you can deal with people. It is more about how you are leading your own life.

If you really want to bring about the revolutionary changes in your life, start by transforming your character and not the personality. Start working on the core principles of life which are the basic fabric of our living. Instead of learning the number of ways you can smile to make friends with lots of people, think about how you can truly help them in making their lives better. It is a total paradigm shift we are looking at.

Unfortunately, the course of our life is determined totally by the years of conditioning we have been subjected to. Humans act and respond according to their mental conditioning. There was a time post The Great War when, out of desperation, too much focus was being laid on the personality enhancing techniques. During this era, a number of books were published telling us how to work on our personalities and how to make people like you. Such acts of tact may bring you quick results but in long-term, they are more detrimental than they are fruitful.
