Heartbreak--What do you do?

Heartbreak--What do you do?

Did you recently get dumped? Did you bring out your box of tissues and throw yourself a pity party? If not, you should give yourself a few days to cry and whine. But if you’ve already been doing it for more than two three days, it’s time to stop. It’s okay to cry for a while and to grieve but at some point when you mope for long, it gets annoying to the people who love you. And it doesn’t do you any good either. Life doesn’t stop and you shouldn’t either. You should show the dump-er that they made a mistake by letting you go.

How exactly do you motivate yourself to have fun?

You accept the fact that it’s over; really over, and that no one returns to a person who likes to mope. Then, instead of complaining to your friends, you try and take part in their plans and use other ways to fight your depression. Channel all your pent up energy into dancing or singing instead of crying or breaking useful crockery.

Don’t stay stubborn and let others do the thinking for you if you can’t do it for a while.

Trust your friends to take care of you. You’ve taken care of them and now it’s their turn to do the same. You’d find some really bad romantic partners, but your friends will always stay whether you get your heart broken or dump someone else. Your friends will understand your decisions and always be there for you no matter what.

Don’t take breakups as setbacks. Learn from them and always feel motivated enough to go on with life. Everything happens for the better. Maybe the right person you’re looking for is still out there so let yourself be loved by people close to you and love life as it comes.
