You Can Balance Tension In Your Relationships If You Can Balance On One Leg

You Can Balance Tension In Your Relationships If You Can Balance On One Leg

Your skills at balancing on one foot can say  a lot about your physical fitness, but it also says a lot about the status of your marriage or intimate relationship.

There is a relationship between our physiology and the feelings we harbor in terms of our relationships. This has been proved by some experiments conducted by researchers.

A couple of college students who said they were in love were collected. One half of the volunteers were assigned to be seated at normal desks, while the other half were given desks that slightly wobbled. They were even given chairs that were not properly balanced.

The volunteers were given questionnaires with questions about themselves and their love lives. They were also asked to indicate the degree of satisfaction they had from their relationships.

A strong correlation was found between the state of the furniture assigned to the  students  and their perception of their love-lives. Those sitting behind wobbly tables and on wobbly chairs were found to be more likely to feel their love lives as insecure.

To expand the scope of the study, researchers assigned some people to stand on one leg while filling out the answers in their questionnaires. They were even made to write out a brief note on their love-life.

It was found that the perception of love lives varied with the relative stability or instability of their bodies or the writing instruments that were employed. Those standing on one leg while filling out answers to questions or writing short-notes on their loved ones were more likely to show a negative stand towards their love-life.
